In this seminar, we will approach the clown as a creator who can laugh of himself, playing and creating with his inner world. Through the use of the performing improvisational tools proposed by the workshop, we will explore the clown as a free creature, raving and transgressor, sensible and vulnerable, working with its own tragedies and personal comedies to create on stage.

By creating, all together, a safe and secure environment, we will look for our idiocy and make humour using our misfitting parts and showing our insecurities and ridiculousness.

“The creative fool” is a group journey towards exploring the clown as an expert in dedramatizing, writing on stage with the present moment, making use of what is happening here and now.

During the workshop, we will not look for the creation of a character coming from the outside but instead, we will look for our inner “player” to create, through improvisational tools like dancing, singing, lying, dramatizing, exaggerating, poetizing and enjoying. To all of this, we will add plenty of emotions, laughter, sincerity, costumes, make up, dance and of course, last but not least, a red nose.
