Clémence Caillouel is a performer, clown, director and facilitator who is generally found between Barcelona, Berlin and Normandy.  She focuses her research in developing theatre that is a blend of experimental theatre, performance art and dark clowning. Her work is personal and sensitive, sometimes extreme and grotesque, often funny, tragic and unusual.

She graduated in experimental theater in the Teatro Laboratorio of Barcelona, she trained at the Belarus Arts Academy in Minsk, studied singing with Lulu Berthon and Lise Hubber, and performance art with Abel Azcona. She took part of clowning workshops given by Eric Blouet, Ludor Citrik, Gözde Atalay, Iván Prado, Fanny Giraud, Joël Roth and Pablo Ibarluzea.

In 2016, she founded LA VOLADA to host her theater and clown productions : Paulina, Le Chevreuil et Dalida and The Requiem of Sophie Withman. 

She worked with Le Papillon Noir Théâtre and with Flight of the Escales on the creation of NO WAY OUT. Currently, she performs with OfW Company (∇– TOUR), CircOliva collective (VERMUT ACROBÁTICO, and Laboratorio Teatro (SHAKESPEARE & CIA, ALLENDE).
